Ich werde als Live in Caregiver für 2 Jahre nach Kanada (British Columbia)gehen. Im moment suche ich noch eine Krankenversicherung in Kanada. Kann mir da jemand weiterhelfen? Evtl. auch ob man eine Haftpflichtversicherung oder eine extra Versicherung für den Zahnarzt und für Medikamente braucht, kenn mich da noch nicht sehr gut aus. Danke

In BC gibt es eine gesetzliche Krankenversicherung. Die kommt fuer Dich aber nur in Frage, wenn Du "permanent resident status" hast. ...health.gov.bc.ca/insurance/

Ansonsten wuerde ich mich hier in Deutschland nach Auslandskrankenversicherungen erkundigen.

Individuals, such as some holders of study and/or work permits issued under the federal Immigration Act ARE deemed to be residents, and qualify, after 2 full months plus the balance of the month of your arrival date.



It is best to use the Province's health insurance, because it is what the medical offices are accustomed to, it will be much easier for you and for them. IF you have other insurance then there is more paperwork / bureaucracy involved and a chance you have to pay and wait for your other insurance plan to pay you back, if they do. Canada's health plans are a really good and lucky thing for people who live and work here. Show your card, and that's it.



You may want to consider private insurance for those 2 + fraction months, and private insurance for dentist, and Rx.

die Vermittlung nach Kanada als "Live in Caregiver" erfolgt bestimmt über eine Agentur, die sollten Dich beraten können, ob Du spezielle Versicherungen benötigst, oder Dir sogar entsprechende Versicherungen vermitteln können.

ansonsten kann evtl. auch die Kanadische Botschaft Auskunft geben
